Caye Caulker

Located one mile west of the Belize Barrier Reef, Caye Caulker is a four mile long island, part of a chain of islands forming the Belize Barrier Reef. Caye Caulker has a very laid-back and relaxing atmosphere with white sand streets and no cars – only bicycles and golf carts for transportation. The weather is usually quite pleasant year around. You can enjoy sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, birding and more in the clear blue waters of the Caribbean.

Sailing and Snorkeling Tours

Raggamuffin Tours is definitely the most recommended company in Caye Caulker offering sailing and snorkeling trips, and joining one of theirs is a must while visiting Caye Caulker. They offer the following:

  • Full-day sailing and snorkeling trip – the most popular tour includes a full-day sailing trip to three of the best snorkeling sites around Caye Caulker: Hol Chan Marine Reserve with its abundance of tropical fish, Shark and Ray Alley where you get to snorkel face-to-face with gentle nurse sharks and stingrays and the beautiful Coral Gardens. The tour includes lunch, cold drinks and rum punch to wrap up the day. The atmosphere is laid-back but very professional, with an informative crew and reggae music all along to chill things out even more.
  • Overnight sailing trip – this trip is designed as an island hopping adventure for all those want to experience the uninhabited Caribbean paradise between Caye Caulker and Placencia . The adventure will take place over a period of three days and passengers will spend the nights on beautiful Rendezvous Caye and Tobacco Cayes whilst visiting Goffs Caye or English Caye and South Water Caye.
  • Sunset trip – this trip sails along the front of the Caye Caulker cutting through the split to watch the sun set. As the sun finally sets the stars light up the sky and the sea below. The trip lasts no longer than two and a half hours and snacks and beverages are supplied on board.
